Back after six years away
“I'd put it off for six years and expected a lecture. The hygienist just asked what had kept me away and took it slowly. Dr. Brennan showed me the one spot to watch and said everything else could wait.”

Before your cleaning
- How often should I come in?
Every six months for most people. If your gums need closer watching, we'll suggest every three or four, and say why.
- Does a cleaning hurt?
It shouldn't. Tell the hygienist if something is sensitive; we can numb a spot or switch to hand tools.
- Do I need X-rays every time?
No. Usually once a year, and only the ones that are due. You can always ask what we're taking and why.
