What parents ask us
- When should my child first see a dentist?
By their first birthday, or when the first tooth comes in. The first visit is short: a look, a count and a chance to get used to the chair.
- Can I stay in the room?
Yes, always. Most parents sit right beside the chair; older kids sometimes prefer to go on their own.
- What if my child won't open their mouth?
Then that's the visit. We'd rather stop and try again in a month than make the chair a place to be afraid of.
